He found me

Lost, in a desert, cold and hungry; Hoping someone would come to save me.

I was near giving up, no relief in sight; Until I looked up, and He made it right.

He gave me the Light, showed me The Way; He gave me Life, and now I am not astray.

He found me and made me His own, I put my trust in Him and Him alone.

Since I gave Him my life, my love, and my trust; I have to need, no want and no lust

Found, in His love, safe and warm; I found my shelter in my storm.

Be Still, My Child.

“Be still my child, be still”
Softly whispers the Father,
As we sit on the shore of the water.
And he holds me in his arms so gentle.

“The storm is almost over, the clouds rolling away”
His voice so calming speaks, vanishing my fear,
And his gentle touch, makes my trembling disappear.
As the night fades, and turns into day.

I see a crowd come near, and shove me aside,
And I fall behind the group, and lose my view,
Of the one who calms and give me peace anew.
And I tremble and in fear cry aloud.

The people begin to part, and a figure appears,
He smiles and extends his gentle hand;
And with his touch, I find the strength to stand.
And with these words he said: “My dear child, why didst thou fear?”

I felt a comfort, and a peace instill.
In which I will forever hold dear,
And I’ll never forget those words I heard:
“Be still, my child, be still
